Why Donations Matter
Transform Lives with Your Contribution
Your donations are more than just financial support; they are a lifeline for marginalized community members. By contributing, you help us create opportunities, provide direct aid, fund essential projects, and build a future where everyone can thrive.
We’ve added a variety of donation types, which allow us to bypass traditional financial barriers, ensuring that every cent goes directly to empowering the communities we serve. Together, we can make a significant impact and foster an inclusive world.
Our Impact
Domestic Support - Direct Aid
TEP has provided direct aid support to community members in 48 of the 50 U.S. states, ranging from food, clothing, emergency transportation out of crisis situations, to community connections.
In 2023 alone, we had more than 675 clients request aid from us. Many of these folks are still in need of aid.
Trans Employment Project
Trans Employment Project (TEmP) has attracted over 2100 2TIGE job seekers, looking for safe and affirming work and to grow their professional skills.
Through TEmP, we’ve offered resume vetting, interview prep, BIPoC drop-in spaces, as well as workshops to train employers on how to be more affirming.
International Support
In 2021, TEP began expanding its reach and has since provided a range of support for our international 2TIGE community members in need.
In 2023, we worked with community members on the ground to launch TEP Africa. A program that has since provided direct aid, community support, and organizing relief for our Trans siblings.
Training Partners For the Future
TEP has worked with organizations and business partners such as Planned Parenthood, Sierra Club, Noom, Glossier, Geodis, and more to hold DEIB trainings for their staff and volunteers.
TEP’s has also led live trainings through many National Conferences including Trans Wellness Conference, National Women’s Convention, Netroots, Lesbians Who Tech, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence Conference and beyond.
Lead Me to Safety Grant
Since 2023, TEP has provided $10,000 in grant funding to staff and volunteer(s), who have shown up for the community and were in need of safety in the rise of transphobic attacks.
With almost 600 anti-trans bills having been introduced in the first half of 2024 in the US alone, our community has seen an uptick in the violent and hateful attacks as well.
Safety Kits
500+ Safety Kits have been distributed free of charge to our most vulnerable community members.
FBI data reveals a 13.8 percent increase in hate crimes based on sexual orientation and a striking 32.9 percent surge in those targeting gender identity compared to the previous year. Specifically, the report documented 1,947 incidents relating to sexual orientation in 2022, up from 1,711 in 2021.

Voices of Change
“I’ve found TEP to be the perfect safe place for me as a trans person. I feel like I found a home outside of home and community outside my own area. It’s been wonderful knowing there are people like me around with the goal of helping other people like me. That is so powerful and I never ever want to lose it. The staff are sweet and the people in the discord server are amazing and always looking to bring a smile to everyone’s face. I give TEP resources to any trans person I meet and make sure to have their info on hand when I do my job as a Peer Recovery Specialist because there arent many resources for Trans people, especially not ones that help regardless of where people live.”

“TEP was able to help me in a particularly vulnerable point in my life. I’m a trans woman who fled Florida due to the increasingly draconian anti-trans legislation. I’m still trying to solidify a new living situation and a new job. My finances have been extremely shaky for the entire year leading up to my move. TEP was able to provide me with vital food support in the form of grocery money, and I can’t overstate what a massive relief it is to not have to worry about spending on groceries for a short time. There are a lot of trans and lgbt focused orgs that don’t do anything for us except have galas and luncheons, so I’m happy to say that TEP is providing direct support for trans folks in need. That’s what we need right now!!!”

“Working at TEP has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Being able to learn and grow with our team, all while helping our community and educating allies, makes me feel incredibly fulfilled and proud of everything our small team has accomplished. “
